Victorian Sliders Invests Over Half a Million in a Glass Processing Line

At Victorian Sliders, we are excited to announce a major investment in our glass processing capabilities, with over half a million pounds invested in a fully automated seaming line from Ashton Industrial.

This investment in the Seamax seaming line represents a significant step forward for us, as it transforms our previously manual process of seaming, also known as arrissing, into a fully automated one. This cutting-edge technology allows us to create precise edges on glass, resulting in superior quality double-glazed units. To further enhance our production capabilities, we have also added an Ashton heavy-duty UNIX cross belt arrisser with air flotation tables to handle special shapes and provide backup during cleaning or maintenance of the main line.

We carefully selected Ashton Industrial’s Seamax line after evaluating multiple providers. Key factors in our decision included strong industry recommendations, Ashton Industrial’s UK base, and their provision of ongoing engineering support. Processing glass horizontally reduces product handling and enhances safety, quality, and efficiency, which aligns perfectly with our goals.

The new automated machinery significantly reduces production time and enhances accuracy and consistency. This advancement allows us to meet growing demand while maintaining our industry-leading turnaround times.
